The last week has seen yet another overturned decision from the Academy as they scramble to shorten and liven up the Oscar’s televised event. So far, the unpopular suggestions have included introducing a new category, the ‘Best Popular Film’, and removing the broadcast of four of the awards which this year were slated to include ‘Best Cinematography’ and ‘Best Editing’, two categories that many film fans greatly appreciated.
